With over 25 years of experience in strategic marketing, family business advisory, and own family business, Mita knows first-hand the dynamics of family and business. She facilitates multi-generational families in creating a culture of governance, navigating generational transition, and planning sustainable business growth.
Mita is an Independent Director on the Boards of listed companies and an advisory board member in closely held companies. She mentors next-gen successors, women entrepreneurs, and start-up founders. As a visiting faculty, Mita teaches family business courses at prestigious management institutes.
The co-author of an acclaimed book, The 5Gs of Family Business with Walter Vieira, Mita has done her Ph.D. in Indian Family Businesses from BITS Pilani university. She is a Certified Family Business Advisor from the Family Firm Institute (USA), a Master of Marketing Management, and a Chemical Engineer.
Mita’s research papers, articles, and case studies have appeared in academic and business publications. She is frequently quoted in the media on the current family business issues and regularly speaks at the industry forums and family business seminars.
