An Independent Director on the Boards of listed companies, Mita is also an advisor on Family Boards and Foundations. Mita is a member of the Family Firm Institute, USA and has received the FFI Certificate in Family Business Advising (CFBA). She presently serves as the President- Mumbai chapter, Institute of Management Consultants of India. She is a visiting faculty for family business programs.
Mita is the first Indian to do a Ph.D. on “Conflict in Indian family businesses”, from BITS Pilani University. She is Masters in Marketing Management from Mumbai University with an engineering background. Mita has co-authored a book with Walter Vieira, “The 5Gs of Family Business”, published by Sage Publications.
